New Pathways for Youth serves youth who have experienced extreme poverty and at least 4 major childhood traumas such as abuse, neglect, mental illness, substance abuse in the home, and/or family member incarceration.

Despite their experiences, every young person has the qualities within themselves to discover renewed outlooks on life and realize the unwritten possibilities for their futures. With the help of 1:1 volunteer mentors, New Pathways guides youth in their exploration and growth. In partnership with volunteer mentors, New Pathways enables youth to reach incredible outcomes and break the cycle of poverty for their families.

We are actively recruiting all adults to match with youth in APRIL, but we are in the greatest need for MEN who are willing to step up to the challenge to be a positive force for the boys in our program. If you are a caring and committed adult and you're curious, please attend one of our weekly Mentor Introduction sessions on Zoom by March 24th to learn more. You can see all the dates and RSVP here: https://npfy.as.me/Mentor-Intro

Mission Statement

Transformation begins with awakening the full human potential. New Pathways for Youth guides young people as they discover renewed outlooks on life and realize unwritten possibilities for their futures. We do this through a holistic personal development program and 1:1 mentoring within community groups.

Description

At New Pathways for Youth, we’re awakening the full human potential to bring about individual and community transformation.

In the communities we serve, youth experience poverty and four times the adversity of their peers. Beyond material insecurities, these challenges interrupt a youth’s sense of their potential, disconnecting them from what’s true: that each of us has immeasurable, inherent value - and the future holds unlimited possibilities. Through a holistic development program and 1:1 mentoring within community groups, we guide our youth as they discover renewed outlooks on life and realize unwritten possibilities for their futures.

Our research-based program is proven to generate remarkable outcomes for the youth we serve; from greater high school graduation rates, to increased personal wellness and prevention of harmful behaviors. Nobody goes it alone. Every youth takes root in and is supported by the entire New Pathways community, discovering healthier, more conscious ways of thinking and taking transformative steps together.

When our youth experience the support and personal development that our program offers, they feel unstoppable - and that spirit extends beyond the self to impact their family, community, and the world around them.
