Love public speaking? Interested in learning about maritime history? The Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park is recruiting volunteers for the 2023 class of Tour Guides onboard the Skipjack Wilma Lee! Join AMM staff for an informative meeting on Monday, February 20th, sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0845afaf29a1fe3-wilma7

New Tour Guides are required to complete an audition on March 10 or 11 (time TBD) and will be required to complete a minimum of 10 hours in the training program and score at least an 80% on a written, mandatory test designed to assess topic-based knowledge. This test is administered at the conclusion of the training program. New guides will then be expected to observe two tours by seasoned volunteers before leading a practice tour aboard the skipjack before sailing season begins. Practice sails will be held in late March.

Heritage Tours are offered to the public on Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays, 1-3 PM. Each tour will have one captain, two crew, and one tour guide aboard. The Tour Guide will be responsible for leading guests on the tour, answering questions, and working as part of the team to ensure basic guest safety while aboard the vessel.
