The 2-Day Bike Crew Wants You!
October 7-8, 2023
The Georgia 2- Day Walk for Breast Cancer is looking for cyclists to join our 2023 Bike Crew.
Bike Crew members ride alongside participants to help keep them safe and encouraged during the 30-mile route. You must provide your own bicycle and helmet and be comfortable riding on both greenways and city streets. Safety vests will be provided to all cyclists.
$160 registration includes a Saturday night stay at the Marriott Marquis, meals, and being adored by hundreds of breast cancer supporters and Survivors.
The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is an annual fundraising endurance walk that takes place on October 7-8, 2023, and takes participants through 30 miles of Atlanta over the course of 2 days.
With the money from the walk, It’s The Journey, Inc. is able to fund grants that serve over 100 counties in Georgia. These programs provide mammograms, clinical breast exams, genetic counseling and testing, biopsies, support services, education, and much more. Many of our grants have a specific focus on under-served individuals in our community- uninsured and under-insured patients for whom these types of breast health measures are often not available.
Since 2002, the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer has funded 465 grants totaling $17.5 million to support breast health programs throughout Georgia.

Description
It’s The Journey, Inc. - producer of the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer - is a local organization founded 15 years ago by a breast cancer survivor, Randi Passoff. When the Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk pulled out of Atlanta in 2002, Randi, a long time walker, decided that Atlanta needed a fundraising event wherein all of the funds stayed local to support Georgia breast cancer patients and breast health programs. She created what we call "the kinder and gentler breast cancer walk." Instead of the 3-Day model of walking 60 miles over 3 days and sleeping in a tent, the Georgia 2-Day Walk covers 30 miles over 2 days and participants sleep in a hotel.
We are looking forward to the 2018 Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer on September 29-30. And we never forget the purpose of the 2-Day Walk - which is to raise funds for breast cancer programs throughout Georgia. In March, we will hold our Grantee Celebration where we will award grants to Georgia breast cancer programs. Over the past 16 years, It’s The Journey has funded 342 grants totaling $16.5 million to support breast health programs throughout Georgia. It’s not just the walk; It's The Journey!
