ORGANIZATION: Lenox Hill Neighborhood House

  • 8 people are interested

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 129-year-old settlement house widely recognized as of one of New York's premier human services providers. Founded in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant children, the Neighborhood House now serves 16,000 people in need each year through a wide variety of effective and integrated services --social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness.

We are a hub for community activity with facilities that include a gym, fitness room, pool and auditorium. We are seeking friendly, energetic volunteers to work with staff to greet visitors upon arrival to our center and assist guests by signing them in and directing them to classes, workshops and performances, and answer questions about center activities in-person and on the phone.

To apply for this opportunity, please contact Anthony Snowden, Volunteer Director at asnowden@lenoxhill.org or 212-218-0487.
