ORGANIZATION: Family Hospice & Heartlinks

Heartlinks Grief Center, a not-for-profit community-based program of Family Hospice, assists grieving children, adults, families, and groups move from grief to growth through individual and family counseling, support groups, and other community programs in our service area of Southwestern Illinois and St. Louis metropolitan area.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us grow and help the community! By volunteering a small amount of your time, you are helping to make a difference in a grieving child or family's life.

This volunteer opportunity is available primarily during the hours of 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, however, we have periodic event volunteer opportunities that arise from time to time.

Mission Statement

Family Hospice, a nonprofit hospice, brings compassionate, professional care to individuals experiencing a terminal illness. We seek to assist individuals in the communities we serve find meaning in the dying process by providing hospice care, not just for end of life, but for all of life. Heartlinks Grief Center, a program of Family Hospice, assists grieving children, individuals, families, and groups through individual and family counseling, peer support groups, and other supportive community programs regardless of ability to pay.

Description

Family Hospice provides compassionate care to persons with a life-limiting illness and their loved ones. A team of dedicated physicians, registered nurses, home health aides, chaplains, social workers and volunteers offers physical, emotional and spiritual support.
