The Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter is looking for volunteers from across the state to be a part of our Recruitment Committee. We need you to execute the plan that is developed by your staff partner and be the cheerleader for The Longest Day. It’s simple you connect and inspire. Are you a mover and shaker within your community? Are you a people person? Are you the person that your place of worship comes to when they need to get something done? You are the one we are looking for! We are looking for volunteers that are willing to promote one of the Alzheimer’s Association’s signature campaigns, The Longest Day, to those within your community. Are you able to represent us at health fairs, farmers markets, place of worship, networking events or any place that you can reach a wide and/or diverse audience? We’ll give you the tools, you simply show up!
The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On this day, we recognize the thousands of participants from across the world that have come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support, advocacy and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. This Do-It-Yourself fundraising and awareness campaign encourages participants to take what they enjoy doing and turn it into a The Longest Day activity-- how they want, when they want and where they want. Participants throughout New York City have raised funds and awareness by playing cards, roller skating, biking, baking, playing pickleball, golfing, running, doing yoga, hosting a car show, comedy shows, having a backyard BBQ and the list goes on. It’s fun! It’s creative! And, it’s growing!
Help us grow this campaign as we work together to #ENDALZ year-round for #TheLongestDay!

Today the Alzheimer's Association reaches millions of people affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias. We are the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. You can help advance our mission by volunteering for one of our signature fundraising events - the Walk to End Alzheimer's or The Longest Day.
