Angeline's Food

YWCA Angeline’s Center for Homeless Women provides women experiencing homelessness a safe and welcoming environment. Angeline's prepares and serves hot meals daily. We are seeking volunteers to help with meal preparation, service, and clean up for the breakfast and lunch services. Volunteers are asked to volunteer at least once weekly, and we are seeking a long term commitment (at least 4 months).

Requirements:

  • This is a weekly commitment
  • Weekday availability
  • A long-term commitment is requested (minimum 4 months)
  • Will be in a kitchen environment, appropriate dress and non slip shoes required
  • Cultural competency is a must
  • Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with homeless women and aware of common behaviors in a shelter environment
  • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and only women are accepted for this position
