SPOT Rescue is looking for dog and puppy fosters! Local shelters are FULL! We are getting desperate requests from these shelters to help save dogs and puppies and free up kennel space for incoming animals. This includes all breeds, ages, sizes, genders and even pregnant & nursing mama dogs. Fosters open their home to pets rescued by SPOT, providing a soft place to land and helping pets transition to their forever homes. All food, supplies and veterinary expenses are covered by SPOT. SPOT will find your foster pet a home by posting on adoption websites, social media and by screening adoption applications. f you have an upcoming vacation, SPOT can find a temporary home for your foster pet. SPOT, Saving Pets One at a Time, is a leading San Diego County all-volunteer rescue organization and 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in shelters.
Description
Our goal is to save treatable, trainable, manageable and misdiagnosed dog and cats. We rescue them and provide foster homes in order to give them the care, medical, behavior and training, they need until we find them their forever loving homes. Our ultimate wish is for all shelters to be empty - meaning that no animal is abandoned, and no shelter kills one animal to make room for another. We promote and advocate for spay and neuter programs in addition to Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) programs for feral cats.

- Loving foster homes are the backbone of any rescue organization. These families provide a safe, temporary home for rescued pets to decompress and get ready to meet their forever families.
- For foster families living in rental properties, landlord permission is required. Other requirements vary depending on the needs of the individual rescue pet.
