At Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life.

Enhabit is looking for Friendly Visitor and Pen Pal volunteers. Friendly Visitor volunteers visit with patients and Pen Pal volunteers come to our 100 Gateway Centre Parkway offices in North Chesterfield to write cheerful cards to our patients. These services are provided to our patients during the final months and weeks of life. As a volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

A Friendly Visitor volunteer might help out by running errands for the patient or family, playing games or reading with the patient, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and family.

As a Friendly Visitor volunteer, you would visit the patient in their home and you are free to visit weekdays or weekends, whatever would be most helpful to the patient and family. Pen Pal volunteers are limited to working in our office weekdays only.
