We are looking for patient Volunteering in patient's residence.
Volunteering includes:
-Provide patient socialization
-Light Caregiver Respite
Opportunity Offers:
-Training/ Orientation
-Volunteer Hours Credit for School or Work Applications
-A meaningful experience
We are looking for individuals:
-That feel comfortable sitting/ socializing with terminally ill patients
-Are looking to gain a meaningful experience
-Can work with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
-Bilingual (Not Required)
- Observant of the patient’s pain and symptoms.
- Assists the patient with the emotional and psychosocial and spiritual aspects of dying.
- Offers conversation, storytelling, reminiscing, and arts & crafts activities.
- Very light custodial care and meal preparation.
- Delivers special services like speech and music therapy when needed.
- Makes short-term inpatient care available when the caregiver needs respite time.
- Provides bereavement care and counseling to surviving family and friends.
- Continuous care
- Provides companionship, support and care.
- Respite care
