The Treasurer is charged with overseeing the management and reporting of APACC’s finances.
Treasurer Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of the financial affairs of APACC, reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, QuickBooks, Bill.com, and manage cash flow.
- Recommend investing funds, consistent with applicable laws, to the Executive Committee.
- Oversee the development of APACC’s financial policies.
- Responsible for preparing, or facilitating the preparation of an annual budget, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, as well as regularly monitoring and comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against such budget.
- Keep the board apprised of key financial events, trends, and concerns, and assessments of the organization’s fiscal health.
- Responsible for completing, or ensuring the completion of, required financial reporting forms (including the IRS Form 990) in a timely manner and making these forms available for the board’s review.
- Translate financial concepts and information for board members who do not have financial backgrounds or substantial financial experience.
- Coordinate with the bookkeeper and assure all transactions are properly recorded.

APACC is a 501c (6), a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to the economic advancement of Asian Pacific American (APA) businesses and professionals.
