ORGANIZATION: VICTORY RIDING ACADEMY

  • 1 person is interested

We are looking for volunteers to assist our feeding team in the morning and afternoon shifts. We would love someone who can offer a set shift (this can be one shift a week, all the way up to all 14 shifts/week!), but are open to someone that needs some flexibility. As part of this team, you will be started in cleaning the indoor barn stalls, where you will be trained. If you are able to advance in training, you may potentially be trained to assist in feeding the horses. Morning shifts begin at 6am M-F and 7am Sat & Sun and usually last about an hour. Evening feeding begins at 4pm all 7 days of the week. This opportunity is perfect for anyone who wants to learn about horse care and nutrition, or any experienced horse person. You will be required to attend a new volunteer orientation training before being able to sign up for shifts.

Mission Statement

Victory Riding Academy's mission is: Improving the quality of life of our students with equine-facilitated activities. To help the students persevere (maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles or discouragement); Overcome (succeed in dealing with a problem or difficulty); and Conquer (to gain a victory over) any of life's challenges. Our program is offered to members of the military, veterans, police, fire, first responders and their families. Whether it's defending our country, our city or helping individuals in crisis, the men and women who perform these services and their families are often the ones who need help in the aftermath of executing their duties.

Description
