ORGANIZATION: SONNYBOY ANIMAL SANCTUARY INC

SonnyBoy is home to a variety of companion and livestock animals who found refuge in our care. We are primarily a mini pig sanctuary with 29 pigs on site coming from a variety of different backgrounds. We also house ducks, a few equines, and an emu named Charli.

We are looking for an experienced social media manager who can bring our social media accounts to life. This will be a challenging opportunity for someone to grow their portfolio while helping to provide a more secure social media presence.

The selected volunteer will be able to work remotely with access to shared files of information and photos. A site visit is not required but highly recommended.

Mission Statement

SonnyBoy Animal Sanctuary, Inc.’s (Rescue) mission to rescue mini pigs, educate the public, and rehabilitate mini pigs so that they may find a forever home means that we must do what is in the best interest of the animal. In order to find the right home for the right animal, we have a set of policies and procedures in place for adopting an animal to their forever home.

Description

SonnyBoy was founded in 2016 as one of the only licensed animal sanctuaries in Wisconsin. In November of 2019 we were officially verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) and were the first mini pig sanctuary in the United States to do so. Over the years we have helped countless mini pigs find their forever homes, and have become a safe harbor for 29 permanent residents. We would like to become more active in providing education opportunities in the communities around Wisconsin and hope to do so in the future.
