Cultural History Club Coordinators help organize, present, engage and direct life enrichment programs focused on cultural history at senior communities and senior centers. Cultural history subjects relate to lifestyles of the period’s seniors’ experiences directly or indirectly via their relatives. Presentations utilize various resources that are furnished or suggested with latitude to suggest and use other resources. Engaging seniors in discussions about cultural history and reminiscing is essential. A substantial part of the programming utilizes virtual meeting space for remote participation by seniors who can’t attend or opt not to attend in-person but do participate remotely. Other related programming is genealogy and coordinators are well supported. An interest or knowledge about 20 th Century American history is definitely helpful, but not entirely necessary. A flexible day schedule is necessary. This role is a great opportunity for retired or semi-retired. Stipends are mostly for covering travel expenses and a little time.
