Fundraiser Lead Volunteer

8by8 is looking for a Fundraising Lead Volunteer to establish, grow, and achieve a fundraising strategy and goal for our app launch. We are a volunteer-run nonprofit working to #StopAsianHate at the ballot box, by increasing historically low voter registration and political participation in our Asian communities. Our "8by8 challenge" app will use social engagement and viral marketing to spread the message of voter registration; challengers will invite 8 of their friends to register to vote in 8 days, providing a fun and engaging way to register new voters. Your vote is your voice!

To ensure our app's successful launch, we seek a dedicated and experienced fundraising professional to manage our donations. The role will focus on big-picture strategy and task delegation.

You will:

• Facilitate the preparation, implementation and management of a comprehensive development strategy for fundraising events
• Write, edit, and coordinate submission of all fund development and grant writing initiatives
• Manage 8by8 fundraising activities, including the preparation and delivery of prospect research, application submission, tracking and post-grant reporting
• Develop event budgets, and manage costs effectively
• Identifies and researches opportunities for foundation grants

You are:

• Professional in communications, interpersonal and persuasion skills
• Familiar with technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, Internet, Word)
• A capable leader with solid delegation and management skills
• Have strong organizational and analytical skills
• Obtained or currently enrolled in a fundraising management program or something similar
