Medical staff needed to assist in our MedShed throughout the week of camp. MedShed volunteers are responsible for administering campers daily medications, be able to administer basic first aid to treat minor cuts and injuries, and respond to any medical emergencies, etc. Must be a licensed health care provider to volunteer, ie: RN, NP,DO, MD,PA Experience working with oncology patients is preferred but is not required to volunteer in MedShed.

Mission Statement
Since 1981, we have offered support and encouragement to children diagnosed with cancer and their families by providing gratuitous year-round programs, special events, and access to crisis resources. Our goal is to improve the physical, emotional, and psychological health of the entire family facing pediatric cancer.
Description
At Camp Happy Days, we believe that everychild battling cancer in South Carolina should have an opportunity to benefit from a summer camp experience and other life-changing programs regardless of family income or economic status. Every program we offer is free to the families we serve.
What cancer takes away, Camp Happy Days gives back - lots of smiles, laughter and the pure carefree joy of being a kid. It is our goal to create powerful, life-changing experiences that helps children fighting cancer live their dreams, realize their potential, to overcome adversity and discover a renewed sense of pride and self-confidence.

- Prefer volunteers who are able to stay at camp the full week - July 1st-July 8th. If you are only able to stay a portion of the week, that is okay but please contact staff about availability.
- Darkness to Light training - CHD will cover cost to complete training. Certification is good for up to 3 years. CHD also pays for costs to run background check.
