Are you interested in helping older adults lead healthier lives through physical activity? San Antonio Oasis is looking for a volunteer exercise instructor to teach classes for the Texercise program. Texercise is a health promotion initiative founded by the Texas Health and Human Services and its goal is to help Texans improve their health and quality of life. Texercise is an exercise-based class that we hold twice per week for 8-10 weeks at a time, several times a year. A background in fitness is preferred but not required. Free online training is provided and required and also includes a free CPR certification. Description
OASIS provides educational programming and meaningful volunteer opportunities for adults over the age of 50. Classes are offered in all areas of San Antonio in the Arts & Humanities, Health/Wellness, Fitness, Consumer Interest, Computers/Technology and local interest Day Trips and Travel. OASIS has over 300 volunteers that participate in inter-generational tutoring, teaching classes, working in the office, special projects, fundraising, site coordination, and much more!
