Thank you for considering volunteering with Enhabit (formerly Encompass) Health - Hospice! We are looking for volunteers to assist hospice patients at their homes in Marshall County, by preforming yardwork, mowing, weed eating and or landscaping. NO medical experience needed, volunteers DO NOT perform "hands on" care.
Requirements
Volunteers are welcome to provide assistance during the day, after hours, or on weekends. Volunteer commitment is flexible to volunteer’s schedule.
We require a free training for all of our volunteers. Volunteers must complete the application and orientation processes, which in include background screenings, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance, and proof of COVID 19 Vaccination. Also required is a 2-step TB skin test provided by Encompass. Volunteers must have reliable transportation, must be organized, the ability to multitask and complete written documentation.
Jr. volunteers ages 14-18 may volunteer as long as they are accompanied and supervised by an adult volunteer.

Our compassionate end-of-life care is provided in the patient’s home, whether that is a home address, nursing home, assisted living community, independent living community or other location. It focuses on the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of both the individual patient and our patients’ loved ones: caregivers, spouses, children, extended family and friends.
Our experienced team understands the complexity of issues and feelings that surround hospice care and end of life. Our care process is designed to maximize our patient’s quality of life and offer our patients and their love ones comfort, support and guidance when facing a terminal illness
