At ADDSTEAM, we invest in the next generation of people whose innovations and technological advancements have the potential to improve our lives. We believe every talented person should have the resources necessary to thrive in a STEAM field. It's our mission to advance and develop people through our programs including scholarships, mentoring, and career advancement programs.
Description
ADDSTEAM began with a conversation that sparked an idea between co-founders Tepring Piquado and Joey Pascual in Joey's living room during the Summer of 2021 and was officially launched on March 3, 2022.
Less than a year after that first conversation, the idea of ADDSTEAM became a reality. The team was built, the application for 501(c)(3) tax exempt status was submitted in December 2021 and granted by the IRS in January 2022. ADDSTEAM officially launched in March 2022. By November 2022, we selected our first ADDSTEAM scholars and made a significant impact on their career path by awarding them $1000 each and beginning individualized mentoring.
