We are looking for volunteers with skills to do either or both of the below translation tasks. We are working to translate vital documents for many audiences. Volunteers who understand our mission and our emphasis on scientific accuracy and cultural sensitivity can help review professionally translated documents to help us quickly get this information to our diverse communities who need it most. Whether you're putting your cultural and language skills to make sure materials make sense to community members, or taking on a full translation project, you can make a difference!

(a) TRANSLATION REVIEWS: Native speakers who can look at translated materials such as pamphlets and help the American Heart Association make sure the materials make sense both technically and culturally of one or more of the below languages.

(b) TRANSLATION OF WRITTEN MATERIALS: Native speakers who can review materials written in English such as pamphlets and translate into one or more of the following languages.

Languages we've identified as common and still needed are:

Amharic, Dari, Farsi, French, Khmer, Marshallese, Oromo, Pashto, Punjabi, Russian, Samoan, Somali, Swahili, Ukrainian

An interest in heart health equity is a plus! This is a remote volunteer position for our Puget Sound/Seattle office. If you're looking to help, please email puget.sound@heart.org and state which volunteer opportunity you're interested in & list your experience/background/language you'd be able to support. Thank you!
