Read Better Be Better needs volunteers to help sort, organize, and put away our weekly inventory deliveries. Deliveries and inventory typically includes picture books, chapter books, other prizes for our student participants, lanyards, name tags, uniform polos, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and general office supplies. We have wagons and dollies to help move the boxes of inventory. Shelves are labelled for sorting and organizing. Counting of inventory may be asked of volunteers, also. A full-time staff member will be present at all times in case any questions arise.
Requirements: Moderately heavy lifting is required.
Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Assistant
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm

Description
Read Better Be Better is an education nonprofit organization focused on solving Arizona's literacy crisis. We work with partnering schools throughout the state to connect young readers and youth leaders to inspire a love of literacy and learning. Since 2014, we have served thousands of Arizona students through our reading programs in over 60 schools across Maricopa County and multiple community-based organizations across throughout Arizona. Each school semester, we have expanded to serve even more kids, schools, and families. We are a mission-driven, collaborative community, and we welcome and are grateful to those seeking an opportunity to get involved.
