An experienced Web Developer is needed for Teachers in Space (TIS), an educational 501c3 nonprofit organization providing real spaceflight experiment opportunities for teachers and their students.
The right volunteer will have experience adding online fundraising to an existing WordPress-based website, as well as site performance optimization, search engine optimization, and managing online payments.
The volunteer will take strategic direction and work review / approval from TIS president, with assistance in content creation from TIS Program Manager and TIS Curriculum Lead. We have a small focus group of volunteer educators who will try the pages as we post them and give feedback on clarity and ease of use.
TIS have multiple orbital, suborbital and stratospheric experiment launches scheduled in the coming year. The successful web development volunteer will get to document and publish the launch and return this year of classroom experiments based on the production of this online training program.
