United Way of the Alberta Capital Region’s GenNEXT Cabinet is a group of young, like-minded philanthropists looking to make a meaningful difference incommunity by working to create pathways out of poverty in the Edmonton area through amplifying important causes and building action around issues. You will be provided with unique networking and leadership development opportunities, and you will contribute to action on social justice for causes you care about. We want to inspire those in their 20s and 30s to make an impact by supporting the causes that matter to them.

You will get to learn new skills, meet peers in the community, network, and be recognized for social purpose work and action while also creating opportunities for the community to engage in social justice work.

We have opportunities for three teams: Peace Out Poverty Podcast Team, Community Events Team, United Way Cabinet Collaboration Team

Description

United Way creates pathways out of poverty by investing in community programs and working together with funded partners, government, and community organizations. Bringing together partners and strategies to deliver over 100 local programs and services aimed at addressing the root causes of poverty, United Way addresses a range of needs for children and families who are struggling in our community.
