The Arthritis Foundation is looking for energetic and passionate individuals to join our 2023 Newport News Jingle Bell Run Event Planning Committee. Jingle Bell Run is the original festive race to support charity! Our participants dress up in fun, holiday attire, tie bells to their shoes and run or walk to support those living with arthritis. Together, we're raising funds to support research for arthritis treatments and a cure -- plus life-changing arthritis resources and local programs. Together, we'll jingle all the way to a cure!

Volunteer committee members partner with the Jingle Bell Run Chairs and Arthritis Foundation staff to ensure that the event meets its community engagement and financial goals.

Committee member's responsibilities may include:

  • Attending regular monthly committee meetings (most meetings are virtual via Zoom)
  • Team Recruitment and outreach to new and past Jingle Bell Run participants
  • Recruiting corporate and business partners, securing sponsorships and donations (financial and in-kind)
  • Marketing/Social Media
  • Logistics and day of event activities and entertainment
  • Sharing the mission of the Arthritis Foundation
The Jingle Bell Run will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at The Mariner's Museum & Park in Newport News.
