Summit Academy OIC is looking for a math volunteer to lead adult education classes. Students in the Summit Prep program are building foundational math skills in number sense and operations, algebra, and geometry in order to enter into Summit's GED program.
Classes run from 10:45am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday, but we are looking for a volunteer teacher(s) for Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. All lesson plans and materials are provided. Currently, the class is hyflex. This means students are able to attend both online and in-person. Volunteers can also choose to be online or in-person for the teaching assignment.
All volunteers interested in this opportunity must attend a 12-hour training within 6 months of starting their volunteer assignment.
