Moonshot Studio Assistants support the Education Division of the Kennedy Center.Duties include assisting Teaching Artists in setting up activity stations, helping distribute art making materials to participants, cleaning up the stations, greeting and directing guests inside the studio, informing patrons of activities for the day and week ahead, crowd control, and more.
We are currently looking for volunteers who can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly Moonshot Studio shift on Saturday afternoons from 1:30-5:00. If you are interested, please complete a Friends application at www.kennedy-center.org/Support/volunteer/friends. We do not monitor responses submitted on Volunteer Match. On the application you will note your interest and availability for the Moonshot Studio Assistant position.

Description
A person who, beyond regular paid employment and normal day-to-day responsibilties, chooses to contribute time and service as a member of the Kennedy Center personnel team to assist the Center in the accomplishment of its mission.Friends volunteer services operates every day of the year unless otherwise indicated. Daily shifts are from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.; 6 p.m .- 9 p. m. Areas include gift shops, tour guides, information desk, administration and education.
