The Foster Grandparents program is a unique, multigenerational opportunity for community involvement. Our Foster grandparents are senior volunteers who enrich the lives of at-risk and special needs children by sharing love, experience, and wisdom. The heart of the program is one-on-one attention provided by our volunteers in an educational, after school, or summer camp setting.

This program gives our senior volunteers a renewed sense of purpose, while helping troubled children develop skills, confidence, and strength of character.

Foster Grandparents are asked to provide 10-20 hours of volunteer service per week. Volunteers who meet income and eligibility requirements receive a modest, tax-free stipend, transportation allowance, and an annual physical exam.
