LUNG FORCE is the American Lung Association's annual 5K which provides critical funds for lifesaving research, early detection initiatives, and awareness outreach to vulnerable communities. LUNG FORCE celebrates the power to bring about positive change in the fight to end lung cancer and lighten the burden for people living with lung disease. Join us and turn small steps into bold strides toward a world without lung cancer and lung disease!
Volunteers will be assigned to a task/location for the duration of the event such as cheer teams, water stations, entry and exit liaisons, registration, start and finish line directors, welcome teams, etc. Additionally, volunteers will be provided a t-shirt and refreshments during their shift.

Description
For more than 120 years, people living in America have trusted the American Lung Association to protect their lungs, whether it is researching treatments & cures for lung disease, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air well all breathe. Because when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.

More than 20 million individuals each year are helped by the Lung Association's programs & initiatives. We support everyone in this country through education, advocacy, & research. We impact lives by working to defeat lung cancer, championing clean air for all, improving the quality of life for those living with lung disease & their families, and creating a tobacco free future.
