Recruiting Organization: Helping Our Women
The purpose of the Community Food Project Coordinator position is to strategically implement and sustain a local food system to improve health and nutrition outcomes and decrease food insecurity for the clients of Helping Our Women and members of the community, with a focus on the most vulnerable populations. Many of our clients live in communities that are considered to be food deserts. Data from the Massachusetts Food Trust Program, a partnership between state agencies and various nonprofits around the Commonwealth, highlight Eastham and Wellfleet, two towns in the HOW service area, as having too few grocery stores and healthy food options. The total service area includes; Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, and Eastham. Click here for more information.
There is a bi-weekly living allowance, relocation allowance, professional development training, and if 1-year of service is successfully completed there is the choice of an Segal Education Award or Cash Stipend. Click here for link to benefits.
