Home Delivered Meal Volunteer

Providing healthy and nutritous meals is critical to our home-bound seniors and disabled. With your help, they can maintain their independence.
By giving of yourself only once a week you can make a difference. All Meals on Wheels programs in the
Greater Long Beach area can use volunteers to: help prepare and pack meals, drive to seniors and disabled homes or be the person that actually delivers the food to the home-bound. Pick any one of these jobs and you will enhance the well being of our home-bound in our community.
This program needs you. To continue this valuable service, we need able bodied volunteers, with availability Mondays - Fridays. Can you give 1 or 2 hours a week to make a differnence?
Currently we have a critical need for volunteers in the four Long Beach sites; North Long Beach.
If you are interested, please contact the RSVP office. We can link you to a meal delivery program near you.

Make a Difference in Your Community
RSVP provides human capital, or "people power," to multiply the impact of its volunteer stations. The volunteers enable organizations to serve additional people, expand services offered, and build stronger programs.
Any person 55 years and older is eligible to be an RSVP volunteer. There are no educational, income or experience requirements, and no barriers on the basis of citizenship, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed, nationality or political affiliation.
There are NO dues, membership fees, or meetings to attend. RSVP offers its volunteers free supplemental insurance while volunteering and offers a modest mileage reimbursement to help offset the cost of volunteering. Other benefits include personalized volunteer assignments, training, newsletters, recognition events, social interaction and a chance to meet new people!
Please join us in making a difference!
We serve the cities of: Artesia Bellflower, Carson, Cerritos, Compton, Gardena, Lakewood, LONG BEACH, San Pedro, Signal Hill, Paramount, Willowbrook, and Wilmington.
