Campground Host, Bear Creek Horse Camp

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Bear Creek combines the experience of traditional woods camping with modern conveniences of flush toilets, hot showers and electric hookups. Sites can accommodate both RV and tent camping. There are tie-stalls available at each site.

There are many recreational opportunities in the park, such as biking, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, and hunting. For the fisherman, the river is just a short vehicle ride away. During spring and summer, beautiful wildflowers provide wonderful photo opportunities. Due to the remoteness of the area it provides stargazers, on a clear night, a sky full arena of stars that can be easily observed with the naked eye.

Typically fall is the busiest time of the year. The campground is closed December through March.
