We are in need of volunteer groups to come and organize our donations, hang clothing and prepare the store for our shopping days. CCO is a ministry of Dwell Community Church and provides free clothing for many low-income families & individuals in our community.
The opportunity could also involve some litter clean-up around our building.
The opportunity can be scheduled for Friday evenings either 5:00-6:30 PM or 7:00-8:30 PM.
We provide a brief overview of our ministry & short training in the tasks required.
Lifting may be required for some tasks (carrying bags of clothing). Although, we can provide sitting & standing tasks.
Groups may be asked to assemble hygiene bags, hang clothing, tag socks, perform quality control on our shopping floor, vacuum, mop & dust.
We'd be happy to host your group so we can serve the community together!

Mission Statement
CCO is a clothing ministry of Dwell Community Church. We offer free clothing to anyone in need in an atmosphere of joy, dignity & respect. We supply clothing for men, women & children, as well as shoes, essential household items & hygiene items. We are dedicated to creating connections & long-term relationships within the community with our volunteers, donors & shoppers. We welcome volunteers who are in need of volunteer service hours or just looking to help others in need. In addition, we can accommodate group volunteering events. We are open for shopping Saturdays from 10:00AM-12:00PM. Closed the last Saturday of the month.
Description
In 2022, we served 950 appointments for free clothing, shoes & hygiene items. We also supplied neighboring schools with uniform pieces, coats, hats & gloves. 20-23,000 pieces of clothing have been supplied to families in need. We serve a high number of international families and have materials translated in three languages. We hope to provide consistent, Spanish & French translators for our shoppers in 2023. We hope to involve a growing number of our shoppers & their families in volunteering with us, as we work together to benefit our community.
