ORGANIZATION: My Girlfriend's House, Inc

Ae you a business owner with a couple of extra hours on your hands? During the month of April, our nonprofit is speaking to teen girls about enterpenuership and we are looking for a group of leaders that can facilitate these conversations. We will provide you with a complete lesson plan and topic as well as all needed materials and we ask that you bring our lesson plan to life with your real-world expertise.

Volunteers are needed every Saturday in April and fall into 2 shifts: 10am-12:30pm and 1pm-4pm.

As an organization of professional women, our mission is to improve the lives of the middle and high school teen girls we mentor with personal care items, school supplies and clothing and to prepare them for the adult/working world with mentoring, internship and college scholarship assistance.

Description

My Girlfriend’s House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of professional women dedicated to both community service and friendship.

We work to improve the lives of at-risk middle and high school young ladies in Maryland, Virginia and D.C., with personal care items, school supplies and clothing, and helps them prepare for adulthood and the workplace with scholarships, mentoring and internship opportunities.
