As a Teacher Aide, you assist teachers with implementing classroom activities with small groups of children ages 3 to 5. These include literacy activities, art projects, dramatic play, puzzles, educational computer games, and outdoor play. In addition, the teacher aide supports routine classroom activities (children's clean up and children's transitions - preparation for lunch and nap).
Purpose: To provide quality small group and individual experiences for pre-school children under the guidance of classroom teachers.

Description
The Carole Robertson Center operates three sites in the North Lawndale, Little Village, and Near West Side communities of urban Chicago. Sites are open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Center serves nearly 700 children, ranging in age from infancy through teenagers, and their families each day. In addition, the Center serves hundreds of adult learners and community program providers. All programs serve multicultural populations and are bilingual in English and Spanish.
