Position: Lunar New Year Celebration Event Support Volunteers

Schedule: One-Day Event: January 26, 2023, from 5:00pm - 8:30pm
- Set up shift: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
- Event support and take-down: 5:00pm-8:30pm
Program Description:
IRCO’s Family & Community Engagement (FACES) is part of the Racial Equity and Social Justice Program
(RESJ). Through FACES, our volunteers help us achieve support for youth and families in our
communities. This program provides culturally specific programming such as academic support,
leadership development, and cultural understanding.
Position Summary:
The Lunar New Year Celebration is an event which strives to bring our community together with
activities, food, and games. This year, we are very excited for this event to be held in-person and we are
expecting a large attendance. Volunteer support is needed to help make this event a success.
Volunteers will support the celebration event in a variety of ways including set-up and preparation
support, welcoming guests, setting up the stage, serving food, and cleaning up after the event.
Qualifications:
* Able to lift 15-20lbs
* Friendly and welcoming demeaner
Time Commitment: One-day event on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Requirements:
* Must be 18 or older
* Must pass background check
Volunteer Capacity: 15 volunteers total. 4 for set-up, 11 for event support and take-down.
