The Center for Enriched Living is a nonprofit based in Riverwoods, IL. We serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our employment, life skills, social recreation, and day programs. Our mission is to guide, empower, and enrich the lives of these adults by maximizing their opportunities for personal success, fun & friendship, employment and community involvement.

We are looking for an intern/volunteer to utilize their ASL skills by supporting our members in various programs AND/OR educate our staff on how to use ASL with our members.

Student, retiree, passionate volunteer--we accept any and all!

Description

The Center for Enriched Living is a social enrichment and skill-development center dedicated to serving people with developmental disabilities or special needs. We strive to make The Center a place where our members can truly belong and where new opportunities, new challenges, and new friendships await them. All of our programs have a dual focus of engaging in fun activities while also learning and expressing social skills with peers. Most importantly, programs are designed with our members - they tell us what they want to learn and we create it! Activities may include: dance, drama, music, arts, fitness, cooking, nutrition, gardening, technology, community outings and much more.
