Help local seniors, veterans and residents who cannot drive due to medical restrictions.

Volunteers will provide trips in their own vehicle for North Reading residents to reach doctor's appointments out-of-town, usually ranging from Burlington to Melrose to Boston. Commitment is 1 to 4 trips per month, usually weekday, daytime hours for scheduled medical appointments. Non-medical ride requests may also come up, to consider if you are interested. You will be notified of incoming requests and sign up only for the dates and trips that work for you.

Mileage reimbursement is available, and hours may result in property tax discounts for eligible North Reading residents. Volunteers will be CORI and DMV checked by the Town of North Reading.

You can make a difference by providing this essential need for your neighbors. For more information, please call Lil Hartman, Public Services Director at 978-357-5284 or email lhartman@northreadingma.gov
