We are looking for people that are available weekly on Thursday to assist with our after school tutoring program. We are looking to expand our reach and can do so by training individuals to work with our students weekly on areas of need. We will provide training and the required resources and materials for you to engage with our youth.

Mission Statement
To provide literacy and math intervention for economically disadvantaged youth in grades 3-12, to provide financial wellness seminars and planning to families, to assist low-income seniors, to help families plan for emergencies, and to offer physical health and wellness activities to our community members.
Description
Commerce CDC was organized in 2018 to address the needs of citizens in Houston, TX. Some of the areas we identified as areas we would focus on are: low-cost tutoring for students, financial wellness seminars for families, mental and physical health monthly webinars , and low-cost activities for seniors of modest income.
Since our formation we have worked to address these concerns throughout the city. We have prepared over 300 hurricane preparedness bags. We have tutored students in the Houston area. 100% of our tutored students are at or above performance standards. We have also begun to offer our health and wellness seminars monthly.
Our main mission is to help families thrive. We will accomplish this by offering a variety of programs to meet the specific needs of families in the areas of health and wellness, education, and long-term care options.
