ORGANIZATION: West Tuality Habitat for Humanity

The vision of West Tuality Habitat for Humanity is a community where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities and is a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. Our Forest Grove ReStore is a critical fundraising tool for all of our programs in Western Washington County, Oregon.

We need someone to come to our very occasional events and help take photos. It could be a house build. It could be a house repair or yard cleanup. It could be the dedication and key turnover for a house. It could be our Spring Gala or our Christmas holiday concert. Even helping at just one event would help our small nonprofit SO much. You need to have a phone that takes decent photos or a digital camera, and you need to know how to upload those to a site online or to put them on a flash drive. We will then use these photos in our outreach materials, on our web site, in reports to funders, on social media, in funding proposals, etc.

Events usually take place on weekends, most during the day.

This is a great role for someone interested in, or with existing experience in, public relations or event management. We are happy to sign off on any paperwork if you undertake this role for a class or if you want to do this for assigned community service.

This can be a shared role, with a different volunteer coming in each time.

Volunteers are asked to sign a liability waiver and a photo release.

Serious applicants only! Please note that we are in Forest Grove, Oregon, where most of the events will take place, with some home cleanups in Gaston, Banks, North Plains, Cornelius and other parts of Rural Western Washington County.
