St. Mark Community Education Program is a non-profit organization located in Dorchester, MA. Our mission is to build a vibrant community where immigrants can thrive and enrich their communities. We strive to achieve this through education. St. Mark offers ESOL, conversation groups, and writing classes to immigrants in the Boston area and beyond to help them learn English as a second language. We also provide Citizenship classes to support immigrants in their journey to become US citizens.



Facilitator for the Conversation Group Program - The conversation groups provide an opportunity and environment for our students to improve their speaking and listening abilities in English. The facilitator will work with three to five students and facilitate group meetings in which intermediate/advanced adult English language learners practice English conversation.

  • Commitment - 2 hours weekly commitment for 24 weeks. The conversation group is an ongoing program, so we would appreciate it if volunteers could commit to a minimum of 24 weeks to provide continuity for the students.
