JoyJ provides essential support to underprivileged populations through local, community-driven outreach programs. Our success is due to our network of wonderful volunteers who take time out of their busy schedules to distribute food, water, and other essential supplies.
We are looking for Outreach Organizers who have a passion for charity, philanthropy, and making a difference! We welcome people from all walks of life, backgrounds, races, education etc to apply.
Duties
As an outreach organizer, you can work on your own time and schedule. We expect the organizers to be friendly, helpful, always available, and go out of their way to make an impact on their local community. Some of the duties include:
- Building and maintaining a network of volunteers
- Building and maintaining a network of donors
- Liaison with JoyJ office regularly
- Develop outreach initiatives in your local areas
- Successfully implement and record outreach programs
- Be a representative for JoyJ in the local community
- Disseminate information regarding JoyJ outreach programs
You will receive a general orientation and basic training and supervision for this role.
This is a Volunteer position with no payout/salary. However, after 6 months a 'recommendation letter’ will be provided.More opportunities with JOYJ INITIATIVE

Mission Statement
JoyJ's mission is to provide essential support to homeless and needy populations through direct volunteer-led outreach programs - we create outreach packages with food, toiletries, and other essentials and seek out homeless on the streets and those in need in shelters to i) give them the package and ii) converse with them to ensure they know they are loved, respected and not forgotten.
Description
In the past 5 years, we have touched 90,621+ lives, with over 4700+ volunteers distributing 561K+ items. We ask our volunteers to lead and organize outreaches anywhere in the world. We provide assistance, a toolkit, and all the necessary items. We also have lead volunteers to help new outreaches get started. We foster community within our volunteer base and with those on the street and in need by engaging in conversation (we adhere to COVID guidelines, so we are doing shelter drop-offs) and distributing resources with are essential items in our JoyJ comfort bags.
