Please visit the new page to apply.
The Foster Care Project are supporting Outward Bound Adventures by finding volunteers for Tuesdays between 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (flexible days are also available) to assist with certain tasks in their Gear Room and office. Some of the duties include taking equipment inventory, inspecting tents, overseeing the "boot closet," maintaining first-aid contents, helping with Gear Room laundry, and scanning course documents. No special skills are needed; just a little help getting things ready for the next adventure.
Outward Bound Adventures has served the northwest Pasadena community since 1962.The non-profit organization was founded by a group of secondary school educators who wanted under-represented youth to have an opportunity to participate in outdoor excursions and learn about the environment in which they live. Some of the excursions include the Angeles National Forest and High Sierras. Each adventure is designed to teach about the many aspects of nature and to create a bond through education and conservation that helps to preserve the environment.
