As program coordinator you will be responsible for preparing, and arranging our yearly coat giveaway, I Choose You. This can be lead by 1 - 3 people. You would speak with venue that is hosting the event, work with the Executive Assistant and have a list of vendors who will participate; make follow-up calls to vendors, donors, volunteers re event. Make sure all supplies, characters, etc for the event is purchased and ready to set up. Make sure volunteers are sent reminders and arrive on time. Ensure that lunch is provided during the event.
On the day of the coat giveaway, arrive early with other volunteers and set up, make sure vendors arrive and are set up at the designated times. After setup and doors open for community to participate, ensure everything runs smoothly.
Volunteers will be assigned to you to assist in the preparation and setting up of event. This year event we are expecting to giveaway 1000 coats, 1000 gloves, 1000 hats, 1000 socks and provide other free items through partnering nonprofits.
We provide service to children and therefore want to keep them safe. As the program coordinator you must be able to work with all cultures and backgrounds of children and adults and take a background check.
This could possibly be a paid position from Sept - Dec.

Mission Statement
We believe that all children should live a normal a life as possible, families should be productive in their communities, and the homeless communities should be provided warmth through our coat program. Our closet provide coats, hoodies, hats and gloves to children infant to high school for free in disadvantaged and challenging communities in Missouri and St. Clair County, IL. Coats will not only keep them warm, but more importantly, instill in them that they are just as important as anyone else regardless of their situation or environment.
Description
All Nanna's Kids Closet, founded in 2018 is a 501c3 organization that provide coats, hoodies, hats and gloves to children infant to high school. We are committed to serving families with children, schools, daycares, shelters and any child who need a coat. We deliver coats and host coat giveaways from Oct - March each year. Since 2018 we have given away over 6000 coats, hats and gloves to children; which is approximately 600 families served. We are compassionate in our giving and connected to the communities that we impact. We do not discriminate, a need is a need. No child should know how it feels to go without a coat during the winter months. Volunteers are always welcome to help at our coat giveaways.
