As a Regional Grant Writer Volunteer with the Red Cross you will have the opportunity to help with research and documentation relating to grants and foundations. You will use your creativity and writing abilities to draft grant proposals, impact reports, and much more. Better yet, you will have the chance to interview local volunteers and clients to gather stories and quotes of mission delivery that you can use in your proposals.
You may find this position fulfilling if you have strong attention to detail, strong writing skills, excellent communications skills, and enjoy planning and organizing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to effectively maintain the security of sensitive and confidential information is required.
What does training look like? There will be an orientation to American Red Cross, computer system and database training, grant management training, and on the job training. This is an incredible volunteer opportunity if you’re looking to gain knowledge and experience.
