InterFaith Works is a non-profit agency that has a program called "The Center for New Americans" where we resettle New Americans into the Syracuse area. There are many services that we provide as an agency to our clients and one of the opportunities we are looking to expand through volunteers are our Conversation Partners. The responsibility of a Conversation Partner is to be paired up with an individual or family who would like to learn or practice English. You would meet them at their house or a location nearby in order to help them practice.
Additionally, you would be in contact with the Volunteer Coordinator for resources and the case worker of the individual or family.
