Unpaid volunteer, 2-5 hours per week, 3-6 months, remote.

Anike Foundation is initiating a Volunteer-in-Africa Program (VAP) for individuals who wish to travel to Africa, teach children, and perform other duties while living with the local people. The Volunteer-in-Africa Program Coordinator would set up the processes and procedures we need to run the program effectively. The Volunteer-in-Africa Program Coordinator would use best practices from existing programs to aid in the establishment of our volunteer program. This position requires liaising with our partner organizations in Africa that offer opportunities for foreign volunteers. The VAP Coordinator would set up a means for making available VAP opportunities accessible to the public and provide means for receiving feedback comments from VAP participants as well as participating organizations.

Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum: Bachelors degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel
Desirable Qualifications/Skills
  • Ability to interact with multiple organizations & individuals simultaneously
  • Self starter who is motivated by and passionate about educating African children
  • Enthusiastic team player
