At Haleakala National Park, Trail Stewards are one of the many volunteer positions which allow for direct visitor interaction. Stewards give the park a presence on the trails, and resource for hiking visitors. Trail Stewards will spend a few hours per shift walking trails, answering visitor questions, monitoring behavior on trails, communicating on the radio, and more. This position largely takes place outdoors, and there will be some exposure to the elements. We are looking for individuals who can commit to at least 2 shifts per month. Housing WILL NOT be provided.
