We are currently seeking a seasonal volunteer to assume the role of Local Program Coordinator that contributes to organizing and coordinating special events and fundraisers that promote SOOR athletes in our SOOR Grant Local Program.
The role consists of helping with a variety of the following tasks:
- coordinate sports competitions and events
- coordinate practice and trainings
- maintain updated records
- communicate with families
- outreach to the community
- follow-up communication
- raise funds
- and more!
We most need help with our Winter Sports Season right now, but if you enjoy your role or want to help with other areas, there is opportunity for growth moving into our upcoming Summer and Fall Sports seasons as well.
- Winter (Jan - March)
- Summer (May - July)
- Athletics - Track & Field
- Fall (Sept - Nov)

Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round opportunities for children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities to participate in sports training and competition. All Special Olympics coaches, assistant coaches and management members are volunteers.
