About World Vision North Texas

Location:

Mission Statement

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

Description

World Vision North Texas is housed in a 56,000 square foot facility that provides resources for partner nonprofit organizations and ministries that are serving individuals in need, particularly those with a focus on children and youth. We also have a Teacher Resource Center which serves predominately low-income students at Title One schools. Teachers from member schools are able to receive materials for their classrooms and students. We also provide assistance in times of disaster - partnering with non-profit organizations and ministries who have been affected- so that they are able to reach out effectively to the communities in which they serve. In addition, our agency provides the Youth Empowerment Program, a twenty week curriculum designed to empower teens to become change agents in their communities.
