- We're looking for volunteers to visit with Johnson County hospice patients in their home. Share memories, play cards, read to the patient, pray with them, or just sit quietly while they rest. The family may leave the home to run errands or go to an appointment. Shifts are usually once weekly for a few hours, but days/times can be flexible around your schedule. No direct patient care is required - just a willingness to visit and a caring heart.

Description
Olathe Health Ambassadors, what we like to call our volunteers, work in both clinical and non-clinical areas. Their talents are used at information desks, reception areas, patient registration, surgery family room, business offices, hospice care, and the Gift Shops - just to name a few. They also help with special projects such as Community Blood Drives and fundraising events.
At Olathe Health, our Ambassadors and staff work together to make each patient's stay as comfortable as possible.
